A Simple Start With a Big Heart

We began as a family, making meals together for men and women in need. Our children didn’t just witness kindness—they lived it.

From Family to Community

As our children grew, so did the mission. Friends joined. Then their mothers. What started as small acts became shared experiences.

A Simple Yes Changed Everything

When we reached out to see how we could help, we learned of a simple but meaningful need—providing Christmas gifts for the men in a shelter. Without the staff to organize it, the opportunity was there… just waiting.

So we said yes.

Meeting Needs With Compassion

Today, we provide over 100+ men, 50+ women, and 5+ families each year with thoughtfully packed bags filled with essentials, comfort, and care.

OUR MISSION

“Where Hope Begins” reflects the heart of Our Hearts In Common’s mission—to meet people at some of the most difficult moments in their lives and provide the essential support that sparks a path forward.

For many, hope can feel out of reach during times of hardship. 

Whether it’s a meal, clothing, hygiene items, or compassionate care, each act of service is a starting point—restoring dignity, building trust, and reminding individuals and families that they are not alone. 

We believe hope begins when basic needs are met and people feel seen, supported, and valued. 

At Our Hearts In Common, hope begins with something simple—an act of kindness from the heart. These moments remind people that they matter. From there, healing, stability, and new possibilities can grow.

What began as a single act of kindness continues to grow—reaching those facing crisis and hardship wherever the need exists.
